Dear Parents & Seniors:
According to the East High School Attendance Policy, “Excellent attendance is highly valued at East High School. Because excellent student attendance is correlated to high levels of student learning, we encourage students to be in every class, on time, every day of the school year.” As of January 16, 2017, East High School will begin our Attendance to Prom Policy. It is important that all class absences for students become excused within two days of any class absence. Also, please remember that if you miss a class during the school day it MUST be excused prior to you leaving the building. Please refer to the policy on the East High School Website.

http://east.dpsk12.org/parents-community/attendance-policy/

Any East High School Senior that acquires more than 20 unexcused class absences between January 16, 2017 and April 28, 2017, will NOT be able to attend East Prom OR After Prom. There will be no appeal process!
Seniors that are in jeopardy, will receive a warning every two weeks from the start date.
If you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact Dwight Berry at 720-423-8346 or Dwight_berry@dpsk12.org
