Weekly Announcements

Hello all in the Land of Angels,

This is Andy Mendelsberg with the weekly announcements for the week of March 20th through March 24th:

From the Principal’s Desk:

We will be on a normal schedule this week.

The weekly attendance for this past week was 90%. Our goal for the year is 93%.

Tutoring is available every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in the library from 3-4pm.  Additionally, all teachers are available on Thursdays from 1:15-2:15 during tutorial.  Parents please encourage your students to take advantage of these opportunities.

College Readiness Test week is the week of April 10th through April 14th.  The schedule is posted on our website.  We will be distributing out more information around AP tutorials, D and F supports, college remediation testing and teacher accessibility during test week in the near future.  The current schedule is final and has been approved by our Collaborative School Committee.

From the Counseling Office:

Students that are interested in taking concurrent enrollment courses at the local college campus will need to see Mrs. Vesceri in the counseling office to get the paperwork and information about the program.  You may also contact Lindsey Vesceri at 720-423-8310 or email her at Lindsey_Vesceri@dpsk12.org.

We are moving into our last week of choice of studies with our students.  If your student would like to make a change to the choices they have entered please have them check in with their counselor.  If your student has not been pulled yet, they will be contacted this upcoming week.

Is your junior looking for free test prep?  We encourage our students to access Khan Academy’s free SAT test prep.  If students have questions, please have them contact their individual counselor for more information.

We are half way through the 5th six week grading period.  We encourage students to check their grades on parent portal and meet with their teachers and counselors if they are needing support with their academics.

Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing all our students on Monday.
