East High School, in partnership with Denver Public Schools (DPS) CareerConnect, the career education department within DPS, provides business and engineering coursework to high school students interested in getting a head start on a career path before graduating from high school.

In addition to classroom instruction, DPS provides work-based learning (WBL) opportunities through partnerships with businesses and non-profit organizations. We offer business tours, mentoring, internships and youth apprenticeships to students taking CareerConnect classes.

Students who complete one year’s worth of coursework are eligible to participate in the Launch Internship Program.  Some of our currently partners include Xcel Energy, the U.S. Geological Survey, RK, and SAME Café.

East High School is currently seeking new partners for our summer 2019 program in business and engineering and all of DPS is looking for partners in engineering, architecture, technology, and business administration or finance.
