To all of our East and Non-East students registered for the March 14th College Board SAT,
It is our understanding that some registered families did not receive communication regarding the cancelation of the East High School SAT Test Administration. As a testing site for the College Board/SAT, we have heard and understand your frustration. Please accept our sincerest apology for any inconvenience today. However, please note that the SAT at East is facilitated through the College Board Testing systems. East High School is not able to individually provide communications to all students who sign up for an SAT, as we are not provided with a contact list since College Board manages general registration and communications.
Communication of the East High School site cancellation was communicated to and received by the College Board yesterday morning. College Board communicated to us and via their website that they sent an email notification to registrants of canceled locations and would update their website list of cancelations as quickly as possible, but not in “real time” due to the high volume of cancelations. East High School was eventually added to the list of canceled sites on the College Board website. East High School immediately made certain that information was circulated through several communication outlets including East Friday News, both verbal and written, Instagram and Facebook posts, in-building announcements and Teacher/Counseling Team communication to assist with student inquiries throughout the school day. Most East High School students were aware of the cancellation by the end of the school day yesterday. Communication to test registrants that are not students at Denver East is handled through the College Board.
We have made The College Board/SAT aware of the concerns expressed to us around communication and they have communicated that they will send out information related to their refund policies, registration for future tests, etc. Again, we apologize for the frustration and inconvenience.
