In place of Choice of Studies evenings, please explore the “Incoming Freshman” page on our website at https://east.dpsk12.org/students/incoming-students/.
Step 1-

  • On the “Incoming Freshman” page of our website you will find an embedded Google Slides presentation covering DPS graduation requirements, as well as Denver East supports and resources, ways to get connected and involved, and how to decide on which classes to sign up for your first year at Denver East.

 Step 2-

  • After reviewing the presentation, complete our 9th grade Choice of Studies Google form and input your course requests for next school year. Please know while we do our best to get your schedule as close to what you’re hoping for as possible, these are course requests and not a guarantee of your exact schedule. Do your best to thoughtfully complete the course request Google form by May 1st as your choices help inform how many classes we offer of each course. The order in which course request forms are received will not increase or decrease your likelihood of getting into your course choices.
  • Your schedules will be viewable in your Infinite Campus Student Portal at the end of summer. Opportunities for class change requests will occur during 9th Grade Academy and during the first week of school. Within this Google form there are also opportunities for you to include questions, concerns or specific considerations for your student. Please be sure to only complete this form once per student.

Step 3-

  • Be sure to register for 9th Grade Academy occurring August 3rd through 6th from 8am-12pm. 9th Grade Academy is a great opportunity for 9th graders to get to know East and our expectations, build relationships with peers and teachers, hear about how to get involved, ease your nerves, earn credit, and find your way around the campus.

Please reach out to Assistant Principal Shawne Anderson at shawne_anderson@dpsk12.org if there’s anything else we can do to help you in your transition from middle school to Denver East.

Please stay healthy and safe, enjoy your summer, and we look forward to getting to know you in the fall!
Go Angels!
