Dear Parents or Guardians and Students,
The health and safety of East High School’s students and staff is our number one priority as we create the AP Exam Modality and Schedule. In DPS, students are expected to take AP exam(s) in order to receive a weighted GPA for their AP classes. This opportunity allows students to share what they have learned and to celebrate their academic growth.
Many of this year’s AP exams will be provided digitally for students to test from home. College Board will only offer the following subject tests for in-person administration: Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, French Language and Culture, Music Theory, Physics, Spanish Language and Culture, Spanish Literature and Culture and Statistics. Test administration will follow all appropriate safety measures. Students can log into their College Board accounts to see their scheduled May exam(s) date(s) and time(s). Early June make-up opportunities will be available for students as needed. Students are encouraged to reach out to their teachers with specific questions.
The College Board requires student owned computers or school owned Chromebooks. Personal Chromebooks are not allowed. To check out a school owned chromebook, use this link: Students may click on this link to request a school owned Chromebook.
College Board has approved accommodations for students taking exam(s) remotely and in person. If you have questions about which accommodations are approved, please email Gloria_Montoya@DPSk12.org.
Financial support is available for students qualifying for Free and Reduced Lunch or via scholarship. For financial assistance support, please email Fernanda_Dillon@DPSk12.org.
Students will receive future emails with technology requirements, practice opportunities, and information necessary for a successful testing experience. If the home environment or the home internet connection is not appropriate for testing, please complete the survey linked here and you will be contacted to receive the necessary support.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
