Students in the East engineering program participated this year in the MESA (Math, Engineering, Science, Achievement) state competition this week. They designed devices over the course of the year to address inequity using technology, and presented their projects and prototypes on Thursday. Our students took 3rd, 2nd and 1st place in the state!
3rd Place: Gabe Weiner and Rodney Wabashaw
2nd Place: Julia Dykstra, Brandon Coleman, Dugan Ewalt, and Hagan Archer
1st Place: Maddie Nelson, Grace O’Meara, Jaks Praeger, Alex Passas
The 1st place team will be advancing to the national competition in June, to present their automotive security camera system. Congratulations to them and all their colleagues for representing our school so well!
