Due to the increase in Covid19 cases, The in-person/Hybrid option for 9th Grade Academy has been postponed, however we are excited to bring the asynchronous version to all Freshmen through Schoology starting on Dec. 7 – 13. Any students who were not able to complete the in-person program will now have an opportunity to complete the Asynchronous program and receive the 2.5 credits for completion. Please look for more information regarding how to access and complete the asynchronous program coming shortly. 


COVID Testing is now Available to the entire DPS Community. COVIDCheck Colorado is opening up testing sites across the metro area available to all DPS Friends and family — free of charge in an effort to help slow the spread of COVID. For more information or to make an appointment visit

An update from the College Board website regarding PSAT/NMSQT and SAT test results from testing sessions held on October 27th and 29th:

Students should have received an email on November 19 with instructions on how to access their multiple-choice scores (essay scores will be available next week).
Students who took the PSAT will receive an email on December 7th with instructions on how to access their scores through their College Board accounts.

Upcoming Events

The Denver East Vocal Music team is excited to announce that the winter concert will take place virtually, streaming on December 12 from 7-9pm. While the event is free, they are accepting donations for a local nonprofit. More information will be coming soon!


We would like to give a special thank you to the Berzins and Angel Packs for their support with the thanksgiving baskets. They were able to provide several of our East families with a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. 

 Our Black Student Alliance student group is still running their donation and gift card drive. For those who would like to contribute and help our families in need, we are still accepting gift cards and donations online and via mail. For more information visit
