This documentary brings East High’s incredible 150-year story to life—its triumphs, traditions, challenges, and the unforgettable people who shaped it. Through rare archival footage, interviews, and a narrative beautifully delivered by retired 9News anchor Adele Arakawa, the film captures the spirit of a school that has mirrored Denver's growth and the country evolution.
Early reviews have called the film patriotic, poignant, and exceptionally well-made, celebrating East’s legacy in the arts, athletics, academics, and Civil Rights. One highlight is a beloved quote from East alumnus Robert F. Smith:
“I have never met a person from East High that was not a nice person—maybe that’s because we are all Angels.”
This screening is truly something you won’t want to miss. All proceeds support the film’s production, and we sincerely appreciate your partnership in honoring East High’s past, present, and future.
We hope to see you there!
