Class of 2018!!!

Seniors….make your appointment with your School Counselor!  This meeting will ensure that your senior schedule meets your graduation requirements, explore post-secondary options, and discuss East’s policies for submitting your college applications.

Go to http://eastangels.counselorappointments.net and click on the “REGISTER” menu tab and create an account. Then login and add your students to the system.

After your students have been entered you will be able to schedule an appointment immediately by clicking the button beside each student’s name and then selecting the teachers you would like to schedule appointments with. After selecting the teachers from the list, click the “View Calendars” button to see their calendars. Select an available time slot for each teacher, click it and then click the “Book Appointments” button to save your selections. Repeat this for each student.

Sections of the teacher’s calendars that are black are not available for booking as the teacher has another commitment at that time. Sections of the calendars that are colored burgundy are time slots that you as a parent are already booked for other appointments. You will only see burgundy sections when booking appointments for a second or third child.

When you are finished you can view your appointments from the “PROFILE” tab by selecting “View Appointments”. You can also print your appointments from the view appointments screen.

Counseling Department Update

We are excited to announce our new counselor, Patrice Brown, and she will be joining us as an alpha counselor for 10th – 12th grade next year.  Patrice has interned with our counseling department this year and worked with East students through her AmeriCorp job, where she supported students struggling with academics and attendance.  She has outstanding counseling skills and a wide breadth of knowledge on the college process.  In addition, she will reduce the average counselor caseload to one of the lowest in the district and will allow us to provide more of a personal and individualized support for each of our students.

With the addition of the new alpha counselor, we will need to adjust the counselor’s alphabet for next year.  All SENIORS (class of 2018) will remain with their current counselor and next year’s 10th and 11th graders will adjust to the below counselor.  We understand that change can be hard when a relationship is built and we will work to create additional opportunities for the 11th graders to get to know their new counselor.
