Posted August 1, 2024

Hello Angel Family!

My name is Cameron Browne. I am very proud to announce that in addition to my role as Assistant Principal, I will serve as the Athletic Director this year. I am thrilled to welcome you to another exciting year of sports! Whether you’re a returning athlete or joining us for the first time, I am galvanized and ready to embark on this journey with you.

Sports are not just about competition and winning; they are about growth, teamwork, and the joy of the game. Participating in sports offers countless benefits that extend far beyond the field or court. Many of these things will stick with you for decades after graduating. Here is what I hope you will experience this year:

  1. Building Stronger Connections: Sports provide a unique opportunity to forge lasting friendships and work closely with your teammates. The bonds formed during practices and games often turn into lifelong relationships.
  2. Enhancing Your Skills: From improving physical fitness to honing strategic thinking, participating in sports helps you develop a wide range of skills. These experiences not only make you a better athlete but also enrich your personal growth.
  3. Learning Teamwork and Leadership: Every practice and game teaches valuable lessons in teamwork, discipline, and leadership. You’ll learn how to communicate effectively, support your peers, and lead by example.
  4. Gaining Confidence and Resilience: Facing challenges, setting goals, and celebrating achievements build self-confidence and resilience. Sports teach you how to overcome obstacles and bounce back from setbacks with determination.
  5. Embracing Fun and Enjoyment: Above all, sports are about having fun and enjoying the thrill of the game. The excitement of competing and the satisfaction of improvement are integral to the experience.

I encourage you to dive into this athletic year with enthusiasm and an open heart. Whether you’re aiming for a personal best, striving for a team victory, or simply looking to enjoy the camaraderie, there’s something special waiting for you.
