DPS Polar Plunge Roulette
Posted March 16, 2022
Join us for the first-ever Denver Public Schools Polar Plunge Roulette benefiting Special Olympics Colorado on Friday, March 25th.
Hosted by Denver East High School, the Polar Plunge Roulette is a fun and safe way for students and teachers to Polar Plunge while raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics Colorado athletes!
How Polar Plunge Roulette Works:
- We’ll have 10-15 chairs socially distanced set outside on the grass
- Groups of 10-15 can sit on or stand in front of a chair
- We’ll spin the Plunge Roulette wheel for each group. Where the wheel lands is what your Plunge option will be (i.e. doused with a bucket of cold water, sprayed with cold water by the “super soaker squad”, pie in the face, and more).
- Once you’ve participated, you and your group will change while others Plunge.
3 Steps to Get Started:
- Register your team (your school) and assign a Team Captain (a teacher).
- Once your team is registered, the Team Captain will send the Team link to students and teachers at their school to register themselves.
- Once someone has joined your team, they will receive a Personal fundraising link to share with their friends and families asking them to support their brave Plunge with a donation. Let the FUN begin!
What to Bring:
- A change of clothes
- Wear shoes that can get wet and have a fresh pair to change in to
- A towel
As we get closer to the big event day, more details around logistics and times will be shared.
