Dear Angels Community,

We are looking forward to seeing you at Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday and Tuesday. The opportunity to connect in-person is extremely valuable and we are preparing diligently for your arrival.

Happy Indigenous People’s Day, we acknowledge the Indigenous land that we stand on and honor the Indigenous ancestors who were the original stewards of this nation. Indigenous People’s Day is Monday, October 9th and it is recognized in the district on October 13th. Students do not have school Oct. 12th, 13th and 16th.

We have made it on the Platinum Honor Roll with the College Board, which is their highest school recognition level. Special shoutout to our AP teachers and counselors for your involvement in making this honor possible. Have a safe and fun long-weekend, Angels.

As always, thank you for your support of our East Community and follow our active student body on Instagram @eastangels_madamprincipal and @denvereasths.

Closing with a heartfelt reminder:

LISTEN TO YOUR CHILDREN

Take a moment to Listen today,

To what your Children are Trying to Say.

Listen today to whatever they do or

They won’t be there to Listen to You.

Listen to their Problems,

Listen to their Needs.

Praise their smallest Victories,

Praise their smallest Deeds

Tolerate their Chatter,

Amplify their Laughter.

Find out, What’s the Matter,

Find out, What they are After.

Tell them that you Love them Every single Night,

Though you scold them be sure you Hold them Tight.

Tell them that Everything is Alright and

Tomorrow is looking Bright.

Take a moment to Listen today,

To what your Children are Trying to Say.

Listen today to whatever they do and

They will come back and Talk to You.
