Congratulations to the East High graduating class! Good luck to all students on your final exams—finish strong! Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend.
Reminder: East High School and the Turf field will be closed beginning June 7th and will not be open to the public until we return in August for necessary construction and the replacement of our turf field.

| Student Spotlight Meet Brielle Burkett, a dynamic rising 10th grader who excels both on the field and in the classroom. As a three-sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse, she embodies versatility and dedication. Beyond athletics, Brielle’s passion extends to the arts, where she showcases her talent as a member of our choir, and enjoys photography. We are thrilled to share that Brielle has been selected as one of the 18 teens to join Snap, Inc.’s (Snapchat’s) first Council for Digital Well-Being. This prestigious opportunity is a testament to Brielle’s dedication and innovative ideas regarding online safety and digital well-being. As a council member, Brielle will participate in monthly meetings with the Snap Safety Advisory Board, contributing valuable insights and recommendations. She will also have the chance to attend an in-person summit at Snap’s headquarters in Santa Monica, where she will collaborate with other council members on initiatives to enhance online safety. | All students need to return chromebooks this year along with a charger. If you do not return a chromebook: Your computer will be locked and you will be assessed a $100 fee. | All (NEW) Upcoming 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th not currently attending a DPS School will need to complete “Enrollment Forms” (in person) now thru June 20th or during the 2nd Week in August of 2024. The Registrars office will be open from M-F from 8:00:11:00 and 1:00-3:00 for walk-in support. Even if your child has already picked classes or have been notified that you have been “offered & accepted a seat” for East HS (2024) school year. This is required by the first day of school. If the student is currently attending a (DPS) Denver Public School, please go to your PARENT PORTAL ACCOUNT and complete the “24-25” Online Registration. Remember: Only the primary parent (1) needs to complete this process. If you are having trouble accessing your “Parent Portal Account” you may need to reset your “password”. If you are still having trouble, please reach out to the Parent Portal Team at 720-423-3163 or dps_portalteam@dpsk12.org. |
| Student Medication Pick-Up |
| It is that time of year again! All Student Medications need to be picked up. Please make arrangements with the Nursing Health Office (Room 130) to pick up all medications (Including Emergency Medications) that were brought to the Nursing Health Office to support your student’s health during the 2023-2024 school year. All medications must be picked up by an adult and are not permitted to be sent home with your child. If your child is participating in a DPS summer program: Medications WILL NOT automatically be transferred to the summer school program. All medication must be dropped off by parent/guardian and given to the on-site nurse on the first day of the summer program along with the completed Medication Administration Form. ALL UNCLAIMED MEDICATIONS WILL BE DISPOSED OF ON: May 31, 2024 @ 12:00 PM. Thank you in advance for allowing Dani and me to care for your student this school year.  | INROADS College Links is a college and career readiness program for “underserved” high school students (incoming freshman through starting their senior year students) interested in all aspects of academia. The program introduces students to various STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) and business careers. Students gain professional and soft skill tools, goal-setting and planning skills, and access to career immersion activities. | ROAR’s Annual Summer College Search Series is returning to the Front Range in person! Each event features a 30-minute panel where college admissions experts answer your questions about the college search, financial aid, essays, and more! After the panel, visit the college fair to ask any questions you have about specific institutions in attendance. High school students and their support systems are invited to attend. | Code Denver – June 17th – July 12th. This camp is for incoming 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. An Experiential STEM Summer program. Summer Science Institution – This is a two-week half-day program. Cost is $400. If there is a financial need, a scholarship will be provided. | Activities Update |
| Student Parking for 24-25: Rising seniors and juniors should check their email for parking lot information. Students must be logged into their DPS account in order to access the form. Senior Pictures: Parents of rising seniors should be thinking about senior portraits. It is recommended that you schedule a time during the summer as finding a photographer becomes more difficult in the fall. More information coming soon. Job opportunities: This workforce program will grant $1000 to teens who complete 100 hours of work this summer. Ages 14-21.(This initiative will give priority to families with lower incomes). Job fair-In person fair from 10 am- 1 pm on Saturday, June 1st at the PPA Event Center, 2105 Decatur St. |
