East High’s 150th Anniversary Celebration
East High’s 150th Anniversary kicks off on September 18th, 2025, bringing together alumni, students, faculty, and the entire community for an unforgettable celebration of our rich history and bright future.
Throughout the Celebration, we’ll reflect on the legacy of East High School, reconnect with generations of Angels, and create new memories that will last a lifetime.
Mark Your Calendar!
Thursday, September 18, 2025 – Rededication Ceremony
- After a Native American Land Dedication, we will read an updated dedication of our 100-year-old landmark building, similar to the one from East’s original opening. Please join East students, dignitaries, and alumni as we honor our school’s history.
- Location: East High School
- Time: 10:00 a.m.
- PLEASE NOTE:
- This event is taking place during school hours parking will be extremely limited for visitors. Plan ahead with public transport, carpooling, or street parking.
- For security reasons, there will not be any access inside the school building for visitors. The event will take place on the front steps of the school. For tours of the building, please plan to return for the East Open House on September 20th 11am-3pm.
- This event will be livestreamed! The link will be posted as we get closer to the event.
Friday, September 19, 2025 – Homecoming Celebration
- The festivities begin with a pep rally, followed by games, booths, and food trucks on the Esplanade. Students will debut their floats before the Homecoming football game later that afternoon.
- Location: East High School Esplanade
- Time: 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Homecoming football game: 7:00 p.m. @ All City Stadium
Saturday, September 20, 2025 – East Leadership: Celebrating 150 Years of Excellence
Breakfast at City Park Pavilion
A breakfast festivity will be held Saturday morning, hosted by Principal Terita Walker and former principal and current school board director, John Youngquist.
All proceeds to benefit the East High 150th Celebration

- Location: City Park Pavilion
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – Noon

East High School Open House
Join us for guided tours of East, visit the Tower Museum, explore the Heritage Hall display, enjoy music and historical presentations, and reconnect with friends.

- Time: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

September 26–27, 2025 – East High Film Festival
Friday, September 26 – East Documentary Premiere: “Angel Power!: 150 Years of East High Excellence”
- Location: East Auditorium
- Time: 7:00 pm
- Q&A and panel discussion
- Student-made montage celebrating East’s film legacy
- Purchase tickets here! Tickets are $25 for general admission, $10 for faculty and staff, $1.50 for students, and $200 for Alumni classes bloc of 10 sitting together.
